In the summer of 2020, I interned for K.A Oldham Design Inc. and was assigned to the Newnan Country Club Renovation Project. The goal was to create a 3D conceptual model that contributed to the further development of my 3D software skills while learning to work with licensed architects on real world projects. I took on the task of designing a new outdoor eating pavilion and renovating the Grille Room for the Newnan Country Club in Newnan, Georgia. I first began by designing the structure of the pavilion through floor plans and 3D models and then added furniture and materials to the conceptual pavilion model. After the design of the pavilion was completed, I started the design renovation for the interior Grille Room which is accessible from the pavilion. After collaborating with the firm’s interior designer to gather a material and furniture palette for the grille room, I used her palettes and tips to begin renovating the interior.
